#U17WWC: Flamingos end Turkey tour in 3-1 defeat to Fenerbache

Nigeria’s U17 girls, Flamingos have ended their training tour in Turkey with a 3-1 defeat to Fenerbache, reports SportsRation.

The World Cup-bound Flamingos were no match for the Turkish Women league side as they fell to a brace from Busan Seker and Nina Kpaho.

After a convincing 3-1 win in their first friendly game against the mighty Galatasaray on Wednesday, they lost by the same margin on Tuesday.

Busan Seker scored the first goal of the game in the 35th minute, she completed her brace in the 80th minute of the game.

Etim Edidiong who scored two of the three goals in Nigeria’s 3-1 win against Galatasaray pulled one back for Nigeria in the 90th minute.

Nina Kpaho restored Fenerbache’s two-goal lead in the 93rd minute.

Super Falcons striker Patricia George was also in action for Fenerbache.

Flamingos will now depart Turkey for India the venue of the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup where they will face Germany U-17 in their first group game in Goa on Tuesday, 11th October.
