Udinese and Isaac Success agree to mutual contract termination
Italian Serie A club Udinese has announced that it has reached a mutual agreement to terminate Isaac Success’s contract. The news was shared through a press release on the club’s official website.
Success, who was the top scorer at the 2013 U17 Africa Cup of Nations with seven goals, returned to Udinese for his second stint in the summer of 2021 from Watford. However, he did not feature in Udinese’s first three competitive matches of the new season, indicating he was no longer needed by the team.
During his time at Udinese, Success made 83 appearances in all competitions, including 41 starts in Serie A. Over three seasons, he played 3,866 minutes and contributed 23 goals and assists—scoring six goals and providing 17 assists.

Udinese has been active in the transfer market this summer, bringing in new players such as Lorenzo Lucca, Damián Pizarro, Iker Bravo, and Alexis Sánchez. These new signings have pushed Success further down the list of forwards at the club.
Success, a product of the BJ Foundation academy, made his senior debut for Nigeria in a friendly match against Senegal in London in March 2017. However, due to a drop in form and injuries, he has not been selected for the Super Eagles since his fourth cap in a friendly against Uganda in 2018.
In addition to Udinese, Success has played on loan at Malaga and has also been with Granada.
