Umar Sadiq gets Partizan extra €500k as Villarreal make space for his arrival
Umar Sadiq has fetched his former club Partizan Belgrade the sum of €500,000 after making his La Liga game against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The Super Eagles striker was in action on as the newly promoted Almeria suffered a 2-1 defeat in the hands of the league champions Real Madrid.
Sadiq who is close to a €30m to Villarreal helped his former club Partizan Belgrade to earn additional money for playing in a La Liga game with Almeria.
According to a Serbian publication, sportal.blic, Partizan Belgrade have made a total of €9,5m from Sadiq transfer to Almeria.
“Last Sunday, in the first round, for example, Almeria, for which Sadiq is now playing, and Real Madrid met.
“It was the 75th match in Almeria in which the Nigerian played no less than half time, thereby activating the second bonus agreed between the Spanish club and the club from Humska.
“Originally, the black and whites earned €3,000,000, when Almeria was placed in Primera, and yesterday brought them another €500,000.
“In addition, according to the contract, ten percent of further sales remain for them until the end of the transition period.
“So far, Partizan has earned €9,500,000 from Sadiq. The amount of €5,500,000 was paid to them during the transfer of the Nigerian to the Spanish club, in the name of compensation from the sale of 50 percent of the economic rights to the player, but it turned out that the bonuses almost doubled the earnings.”
Meanwhile, his move to Villarreal is a matter of time after a fee of €30m was reportedly agreed with Almeria.
Villarreal have sent out their Senegalese striker Boulaye Dia on a loan to Salernitana to create space for Umar Sadiq.
Just a matter of time and the deal will be confirmed and Umar Sadiq will link up with Samuel Chukwueze.
