Umar Sadiq one within top scorers in La Liga 2 with his 11th league goal in Almeria win

Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq has moved one goal within the top scorers in the Spanish La Liga 2 top scorer chart after scoring his 11th league goal on Saturday.

The former Roma striker scored a goal and assisted one as Almeria secured a 3-1 win against Castellon on Saturday.

Umar Sadiq assisted Almeria’s first goal after setting up Jose Corpas in the 26th minute of the game.

The visitors equalised Jamelli in the 61st minute of the game but Umar Sadiq restored Almeria’s lead with his 11th league goal of the season.

Jorge Cuenca sealed the 3-1 win for Almeria in the 80th minute just two minutes after Sadiq’s goal.

So far this season, Umar Sadiq has scored 11 goals and assisted 2 goals in 20 league games.

As it stands, with 11 goals, his just behind Espanyol’s De Tomas R. and Gijon’s Djurdjevic U. who both has 12 goals.
