In a season where the Utah Jazz are meant to suffer following the loss of their star point guard Gordon Hayward to Celtics, their acquired 2017 round 1 pick 13th overall Donovan Mitchell from Denver Nuggets has made a remarkable difference so far.
The 21-year-old has matched long-standing records with his extraordinary performances week in and out but has now gone a step further.
Donovan starred as Utah Jazz beat Pheonix Suns 107-97 on Thursday, his 24 points (the highest number of points on the night), 7 assists and 4 rebounds helped the Jazz to victory and continue their push for a place in the NBA playoffs zone.
The victory on Thursday makes it Jazz’s 11th consecutive wins making him the 1st rookie in NBA history to lead his team in scoring during a win streak of at least 11 games.
