Uyo to host Arsenal Nigeria fans converge
The City of Uyo will play host to the 2023 converge of Arsenal Football Club supporters in Nigeria from the 30th of June to 3rd July 2023.
This announcement was part of a release by the Director of Public Communications Arsenal FC supporters club Akwa Ibom State Chapter Mr Samuel Udoma.
The choice of Uyo, as venue for this unique gathering is in recognition of the strong and well organized supporters club chapter in Akwa Ibom State.
During the season, Arsenal FC fans in Akwa Ibom engaged in different activities like games, fitness/aerobic festival all crowned with regular matchday engagements as powered by elite members of the fans club.
Thousands of Arsenal FC supporters from different states in Nigeria will gather in Uyo for the 2-day fest which will feature mouth-watering activities.
Activities lined up for the event include Arsenal Fans mini tournament, Foodfest, Meet and Greet, tours and sight seeing.
As Arsenal FC fans in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Delta and Abia prepare to join their hosts Akwa Ibom in Uyo for the converge, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee Hon. Akan Eyo has assured that the Oil-rich South South State is poised to offer Arsenal fans in Nigeria a memorable end of season get together.
Expected to be one of the biggest gatherings of football fans in Nigeria, the converge In Uyo will give Arsenal fans opportunity to relax and savour memories of the 2022/2023 English Premier League season which saw the Gunners challenge Manchester City for the title and eventually seal a return to the UEFA Champions League.
