Versatile Nigerian footballer Victor Boniface shines in YouTube comedy series
Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface recently showcased his comedic side during an appearance on Bae U’s popular YouTube series, “Curiosity Made Me Ask.”
Known for his agility and skills on the football field, Boniface proved that he’s just as sharp with his words, delivering a series of witty comebacks that left both the host and fans in stitches.
During the episode, Bae U, the comedian host, put Boniface on the spot with probing questions, but the 23-year-old striker was more than prepared. At one point, Boniface cleverly referenced a popular Davido lyric, quipping, “My charge blow before you.” When Bae U joked about Boniface looking older than his coach, Boniface humorously responded, “Look at your size, how can we lift you?”
Fans quickly took to social media to praise Boniface’s quick wit and comedic flair. Comments like “First guest to deal with Bae U” and “Boniface omo werey [crazy]…first man cook Bae U” highlighted the striker’s unexpected talent for comedy. The viral video has shown a different side of Boniface, usually known for his football prowess.
Boniface, who recently enjoyed a romantic getaway with his Norwegian girlfriend Rikke Hermine in Greece, has often given glimpses of his humorous personality through his social media posts. This YouTube appearance further cemented his reputation as a multifaceted individual, balancing his life on and off the pitch.
Despite a quiet end to his debut season at Bayer Leverkusen, disrupted by a four-month injury layoff, Victor Boniface is backed to regain his form. Leverkusen’s managing director, Simon Rolfes, expressed confidence in Boniface’s recovery and potential impact next season. “It takes time to get back to yourself physically and mentally,” Rolfes said. “He’ll be in much better shape at the start of the new season.”
