Veteran table tennis player Edem Offiong joins Team Nigeria’s training camp in Germany
Veteran Nigerian table tennis star, Edem Offiong, has arrived at the Team Nigeria camp in Saarbrücken, Germany, for the 2024 Paris Olympic games training camp.
Offiong announced her arrival via her social media, expressing her excitement and gratitude.
She wrote: “Germany for the Olympic training camp! I’m thrilled to have this opportunity to represent my country and train with the best. It’s been a long time coming, and I’m grateful to the Ministry of Sports and Development for making this possible. I’ll keep you all posted on my journey.”
She also acknowledged the support she has received, stating, “Huge thanks to all who helped make my Olympic dream a reality. Your support means everything. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Let’s do this! See you in Paris.”
Edem Offiong will be competing in her fifth Olympic Games, having previously participated in the 2004, 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics.
