Victor Moses in Talks for Move to Major League Soccer

Former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses could be on his way to the United States, with talks ongoing between his representatives and Major League Soccer club, New York Red Bulls.

The 34-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Luton Town at the end of the 2024/25 season. His spell with the Hatters was disrupted by injuries, limiting him to just 18 appearances and one goal as the club was relegated from the EFL Championship.

Now fully fit, Moses is eager to take on a new challenge abroad. A source from his management agency, ROOF, told Footy Africa that discussions with the MLS side are progressing positively.

“Victor has been training hard all through pre-season, getting himself back to full fitness after last season’s setbacks. We’re currently in discussions with New York Red Bulls, and it’s a move that makes a lot of sense for both sides,” the source said.

“He’s motivated, hungry, and ready for a new challenge. He still has a lot to offer at a top level, and MLS provides an exciting opportunity for that. Nothing has been finalised yet, but things are moving in the right direction.”

Moses has enjoyed a successful career across Europe, having played for top clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter Milan, West Ham, and Fenerbahçe.

Known for his pace, strength, and versatility, Moses was a key member of Nigeria’s golden generation, earning 58 international caps, scoring 20 goals, and playing a vital role in the Super Eagles’ triumph at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

With his vast experience and winning mentality, a move to the MLS could offer the former Premier League champion a fresh platform to showcase his talent once again. His current market value is estimated at around €500,000.
