Victor Moses sad to see Chelsea FC struggle this season
Former Chelsea winger Victor Moses has admitted he feels sad seeing Chelsea FC struggle this season.
Moses excelled at Chelsea FC under Antonio Conte. The Nigerian winger was converted to a wing-back and featured in 34-games as Chelsea took the league title in 2016-2017.
The winger was asked if he feels sad about Chelsea`s troubles, Moses told Spartak Moscow’s official website :”Certainly. But that’s football. Now the club must draw conclusions and rebuild for the new season.
“Although the current one can still be saved, because there are matches with Real Madrid in the Champions League ahead.”
Chelsea FC are up against Wolverhampton on Saturday after which attention will shift to the UEFA Champions clash vs Real Madrid in midweek.
Moses still believes Chelsea can still salvage their season but he also has eyes on the Arsenal and Manchester City title race.
“As for the Premier League, I look forward to the outcome between Arsenal and City with great interest, ” Moses continued.
“They have yet to play each other in Manchester, plus the Londoners have matches with Liverpool and Chelsea, so nothing is settled yet. ”
Moses is a Crystal academy product and made over 200 English Premier League appearances. The winger is so passionate about Chelsea that he won’t watch any other team being crowned champions of England.
“In this sense, it makes no difference to me who exactly will be the first. I want the Chelsea players to lift the trophy over their heads. And it’s sad when it doesn’t.
“The moment any other team’s award ceremony starts, I’ll just turn off the TV.” Moses added.
Victor Moses recently returned from a long injury lay-off and will be in action on Saturday when Spartak Moscow takes on Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Premier League.
