Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen came of the substitutes bench to score his 11th goal of the season in Napoli’s 1-1 draw vs Cagliari in the Italian Serie A this evening.
Victor Osimhen replaced Italian striker Andrea Petagna in the 67th minute with Napoli trailing the homers courtesy of Gaston Pereiro’s 57th minute goal.
In the 87th minute Victor Osimhen headed home Mario Rui’s delightful cross from the left to restore parity and rescue a point for Napoli as it finished 1-1.
Osimhen has now scored 11goals this season, 7 goals in the Italian Serie A plus a further 4 in the Europa league.
News of Victor Osimhen’s form in front of goal will bring cheer to Nigeria’s Super Eagles handlers and panic to their Ghanian opposites as both sides prepare for Next months 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification playoff.
Victor Osimhen will be hoping he continues the form when Barcelona come visiting in their Europa League 2nd leg clash on Thursday.
