Victor Osimhen now 2nd on the list of African top scorers in Europe’s top five leagues
Super Eagles striker was on target as Lille secured a 2-0 win at Angers in a French Ligue game on Friday.
The 21-year-old striker opened the scoring at the Stade Raymond Kopa for his 12 league goal of the season as Lille strolled to another away win.
Victor Osimhen now has a total of 17 goals in all competitions including 2 goals in the champions league games he played for Lille.
With 17 goals so far this season he is just one goal behind Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah on the list of African top scorers in Europe top five leagues.
He has one more goal than Gabonese and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
In fact, with 12 league goals he has more goals than the rest of Lille’s attackers Loic Remy (4), Jonathan Ikone (3), Luiz Araujo (2), Yusuf Yazici (1) and Jonathan Bamba (1) who has a total of 11 goals.
So far this season, he has scored 12 goals and assisted 4.
