Victor Osimhen set for early return from facial injury?

Victor Osimhen could be back in training as early as next week according to reports from Italy.

The Nigerian striker who was injured after collision with Milan Å kriniar in a Serie A league game between Napoli and Inter could be back in action on Tuesday next week.

Contrary to the earlier reports that the former Lille striker will be out for many months, he could be cleared for contact sooner than we expected.

“He removed the stitches last Monday and is feeling pretty good, having already started working on the stationary bike and treadmill,” according to La Gazzetta dello Sport

“Next Tuesday he will do the tac and x-ray and if everything goes as hoped, Victor Osimhen will be able to return to training in Castel Volturno, while the specialists from those exams will study the carbon mask to be supported on the boy’s forehead, so as not to press on the eyebrow.

“A mask that will be made with a 3D printer, on the cast of the center forward’s face.”

If the news is true this will be good news to Nigerians and Super Eagles who are pushing for AFCON glory in 2022.
