Victor Osimhen’s agent calls for respect amid transfer speculations
Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has asked for respect for the Nigerian striker as his complicated transfer saga continues. Osimhen has yet to play for Napoli this season due to ongoing transfer issues.
Osimhen, who has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) recently, has also attracted interest from Chelsea. However, Napoli’s asking price for the forward stands at a hefty €130 million, as per his newly signed contract.
In response to reports that Al-Ahli from Saudi Arabia offered €70 million for Osimhen, Calenda took to social media on Monday to clarify the situation. He stated, “Victor is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets. Victor still has so much to do IN EUROPE. Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction.”
Calenda added, “He made history and when there were major offers (also this year) we always accepted the club’s decisions. Victor was elected African Footballer of the Year, 8th at the Ballon d’Or. There is a need for respect and balance.”
Calenda’s comments suggest that Osimhen prefers to stay in Europe and is not interested in a move to the Saudi Pro League. Chelsea remains a potential option, although no formal offer has been made yet.
