Victor Osimhen’s agent dismisses Chelsea loan agreement talks
The transfer talk surrounding Victor Osimhen continues to heat up, but recent reports of a potential loan move to Chelsea have been dismissed by his agent.
On Tuesday morning, The Athletic reported that Chelsea might take Osimhen on a season-long loan with an option to buy. This deal could also allow Romelu Lukaku to reunite with Antonio Conte. However, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has denied these loan rumors.
“I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victor as if he was a package to be delivered quickly,” Calenda said. “This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!”
Osimhen, who missed Napoli’s pre-season games, is rumored to be on the move. Despite the buzz, the high release clause of 120 million euros has put off potential suitors.
Osimhen scored 17 goals for Napoli last season, despite facing injury issues. While it’s uncertain if a move to Chelsea will happen, the striker remains a valuable asset for many top European clubs.
