Victor Osimhen’s proposed move to PSG gets massive boost

Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has received a significant boost following the latest updates about his release clause.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is reportedly ready to offer PSG a slight discount on Osimhen’s hefty release clause, bringing the transfer closer to fruition.

According to Corriere dello Sport, De Laurentiis is willing to reduce Osimhen’s €130 million release clause marginally to facilitate the move to PSG. This adjustment aims to expedite the transfer process and enable Napoli to fund new signings for Antonio Conte’s project, including Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku.

Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has traveled to Paris to accelerate the deal, while Napoli’s directors are working from their training camp in Castel di Sangro to reach an agreement. The transfer will pave the way for Lukaku’s arrival at Napoli, contingent on finalizing Osimhen’s move.

Osimhen has reportedly agreed to a five-year contract with PSG, valued at approximately €14 million net per season. This move is seen as a major step for the Nigerian striker, offering him a lucrative deal and the chance to compete regularly in the UEFA Champions League.

Victor Osimhen’s departure from Napoli marks the end of a highly successful spell in Serie A. He led Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years last season, scoring 26 goals in 32 matches. Throughout his four-year tenure with Napoli, Osimhen made 133 appearances and netted 76 goals, becoming an iconic figure for the club.
