Czech Republic striker Patrick Schick scored an absolute wonder goal for his country in a 2-0 Euro 2020 opening day victory over Scotland’s Tartan Army at Hampden Park.
The RB Leipzig forward opened the scoring with a well-placed header in the 42nd minute, but it was his second goal that left every single spectator all over the world in awe. In their search for an equaliser, the entire Scotland team was beyond the halfway line when the ball broke for Schick, and the big striker took aim from 49.7 yards and bent the ball beyond the reach of David Marshall in the Scotland goal. It was the furthest a goal had been scored from ever in the history of the European Championships.
