Viral Swiss fan Luca Loutenbach rewarded awesomely
Even if you have not been following the 2020 EUROs, you would have seen his picture on social media.
On Monday June 28th, Switzerland shocked the world by sending the current world champions and EURO 2020 favourites, France out of the championship.
France who were many book makers favourites raced up to a 3-1 lead and looked assured of a place in the last eight with just 10 minutes to go.
Haris Seferovic pulled one back in the 81st minutes but Switzerland needed one more goal to secure parity for a chance to win the game.
At the 89.26s mark, an unknown Swiss fan appeared on our screens.
He looked dejected as his team who were the better team on the day trailed by a goal with just five minutes including added time left on the clock.
At the time it looked like there was no way back for Swiss but then substitute Mario Gavranovic drew the Rossocrociati level at the 90:59s Mark.
With the scoreline at 3-3 and the game heading for the extra time, the fan whose name was later discovered to be Luca Loutenbach appeared on our screen again.
This time around he had completely lost it, he went from dejection to jocundity – his shirt was off and his cap was nowhere to be found.
In the end Luca Loutenbach Switzerland secured famous victory against highly fancied France via a penalty shootout.

Luca Loutenbach looked like the biggest winner on the day and he has continued to win off the pitch.
According to reports doing the round he has been offered a free ticket to watch the quarter-final clash between Switzerland and Spain by the Swiss Air.
Red Bull is said to have offered him an endowment of drinks.
And the Swiss Tourist Office have also reportedly offered him free holidays at the end of the EUROs at the destination of his choice.
Tomorrow when Switzerland tackle Spain at the Saint Petersburg Stadium in Russia, Luca Loutenbach will surely be on the stand cheering his team on.
