Wanda Nara announces divorce from Mauro Icardi for the second time in two years
Wanda Nara has confirmed she is divorcing Galatasaray striker Mauro Icardi again. This news comes after weeks of speculation and Nara unfollowing Icardi on Instagram.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old model and influencer took to social media to share her decision. In an Instagram story to her 16.9 million followers, Nara wrote, “Endings are difficult and they cost me a lot. I have to see fake stories on TV and social media. But I accept it because it comes with who I am. I decided to separate, but we will always be family with Mauro.”
Nara continued, “Trying many times when there is love was not a mistake. I don’t regret anything. I gave my best years to this relationship, but now I need to be alone. There are no culprits or third parties. Our relationship was always stronger than external influences. My priority has always been my children, and now more than ever. Thanks for the respect.”
This announcement comes just months after Nara and Icardi celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary. It marks the second time in two years that Nara has publicly announced a divorce from Icardi. In September 2022, she announced their split on Instagram, but they reconciled two months later before splitting again shortly after.
Their on-again, off-again relationship saw another reconciliation in 2023 after accusations of Icardi having an affair with actress China Suarez.
Nara was previously married to Icardi’s former teammate, Maxi López, from 2008 to 2013. They have three sons together. After her divorce from López, Nara began a relationship with Icardi, leading to their marriage in 2014.
