Warriors make it 15 straight wins, OKC end Mavs´ winning streak
The Golden State Warriors made it 15 straight wins to start the NBA season, brushing past the Denver Nuggets 118-105 on Sunday.
Klay Thompson top scored with 21 points for the Warriors as Steph Curry (19 points), Harrison Barnes (17), Draymond Green (13) and Andre Iguodala (12) also contributed.
The Warriors outscored their hosts at the Pepsi Center in Denver 34-23 in the first quarter and never looked back.
They matched the starts made by the 1948-49 Washington Capitols and 1993-94 Houston Rockets, who were also 15-0.
The Dallas Mavericks’ six-game winning streak came to an end as they went down to the Oklahoma City Thunder 117-114.
Russell Westbrook had a double-double of 31 points and 11 assists for the Thunder, who improved to 8-6.
Deron Williams finished with 20 points for the Mavericks, but Westbrook scored four of the final five points of the game.
The Toronto Raptors held on for a 91-80 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.
DeMar DeRozan (21 points) and Luis Scola (20) led the Raptors to their win as Chris Paul and Blake Griffin finished with just 22 points between them.
A huge performance by Anthony Davis (32 points and 19 rebounds) saw the New Orleans Pelicans to their third win of the season, a 122-116 victory against the Phoenix Suns.
The Brooklyn Nets enjoyed a surprise 111-101 win over the Boston Celtics and the Portland Trail Blazers easily beat the Los Angeles Lakers 107-93.
