WATCH: Tobi Amusan breaks two 100mH World records in one night to become World champion

Nigeria’s 100m hurdler Tobi Amusan has got the world talking about her greatness and Nigeria after claiming the 100m world title setting two records in one night at the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Oregon.

Tobi Amusan literarily showed class throughout 100m hurdles races at the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Oregon.

In her first race at the event Tobi Amusan finished first in heat 3 with a time of 12.40s, she set an African record by smashing her own African record of 12.41s.

In the semifinal on Sunday, Tobi Amusan went a little further breaking the world record set at 12.20s with her 12.12s race in the semifinal.

The hurdler finished the race in 12.06 seconds but due to the excessive wind speed of 2.5m/s, her time does not stand as a new world record. This, however, did not stop her from claiming gold in the event after narrowly missing out on bronze at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

In one night, Tobi Amusan broke and sets two world records in 100m hurdles in one night.

She became the first ever Nigerian athlete to be an athletics world champion.
