Nigerian football legend Jay-Jay Okocha spent time with Super Eagles players ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations clash vs Cote d’Ivoire.
In a NFF TV made video, Okocha is seen chatting and sharing words of admonition to the Super Eagles players.

Nigeria will face Cote d’Ivoire on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in a game that carries huge significance on both countries hopes of reachin the knockout round of the 34th AFCON.
Whereas the Ivoriens will have huge enjoy support, the Eagles will draw strength and inspiration from the moments shared with the legendary Jay-Jay Okocha who has been vocal in support of the team.
Days ago, Okocha went public with message backing Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen to make amends for the misses in the 1-1 draw vs Equatorial Guinea.
As earlier reported on SportsRation, Okocha said “Victor Osimhen is undoubtedly a fantastic footballer and a top-tier goal scorer. He needs his team’s support, and I think he received it in the opening game,”
“We don’t always witness him passing up obvious chances. We have hope and faith in him because we know he can excel in any competition, and I believe he is willing to make amends for his faults.” the former Super Eagles skipper remarked of the reigning CAF Men’s Payer of the Year.
