Watford Part Ways With Javi Gracia
Watford confirmed the departure of manager Javi Gracia on Saturday after just four games of the 2019-20 Premier League season.
The Spaniard had endured a torrid start to the current campaign, having guided Watford to a respectable 11th in 2018-19.
The Hornets have picked up just a solitary point so far, a 1-1 draw against Newcastle after suffering consecutive defeats at the hands of Brighton, Everton and West Ham.
And with the club sitting rock-bottom of the league, they have decided to make Gracia the first managerial casualty of the season in England’s top flight.
Watford have acted quickly to replace Javi Gracia confirming the reappointment of Quique Sanchez Flores.
The Spaniard took over Watford in the summer of 2015 following their return to the Premier League.
He guided the club to the semi-finals of the FA Cup and a 13th-placed finish but was replaced the following summer.
