Wayne Rooney and Marcos Rojo out of West Ham United clash

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been ruled out of Saturday’s Premier League match with West Ham United.

The 30-year-old, who has scored just four goals since the end of August, is suffering from an ankle problem, meaning that he will be sidelined for the visit of the Hammers.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has told MUTV that the issue is a “nasty injury” and “more heavy than we first thought” Defender Marcos Rojo will also be absent after injuring his shoulder in training earlier this week.
