We’ll give Nigeria 1 handicap in Freetown – Ishay Johnson
Sierra Loene Football Association president Ishay Johnson has joked that her side would give Nigeria one goal ahead in their AFCON qualifiers second leg to be played in Freetown.
This she said on the back of the Leone Stars 4-4 comeback draw against Super Eagles in the first leg in Benin.
Nigeria scored four goals within 29 minutes but were pegged back before the end of the game and Ishay Johnson believes if her team gifts Nigeria a goal they could still win the game.
“I have told the president of the Nigeria Football Federation my brother and colleague, Pinnick, we would squeeze in one goal for them,” she told Legit TV after the game in Benin.
“We will let them have one and then we would go with the rest (goals) we would be flying with the rest.
“We would probably, you know just for the trip for their effort to make the trip, we would give them one.”
