We’ll see new faces against New Zealand – Waldrum
Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum has promised to use new players in Nigeria’s second International friendly against New Zealand on Tuesday.
Nigeria defeated Haiti 2-1 in the first friendly at Emir Sports Complex, Antalya, Turkey, and will face New Zealand at Mardan Sports Complex, Antalya, Turkey on Tuesday.
For the clash against Haiti, Waldrum opted for a starting XI of Chiamaka Nnadozie, Rofiat Imuran, Onome Ebi, Tosin Demehin, Michelle Alozie, Ayinde, Jennifer Echegini, Toni Payne, Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, Asisat Oshoala.
Desire Oparanozie and Christy Ucheibe were second-half substitutes, while the likes of Gift Monday, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Deborah Abiodun, Ashleigh Plumptre, Vivian Ikechukwu, Yewande Balogun, Inyene Etim, and Uchenna Kanu were unused subs.
“Well, obviously we’ll evaluate New Zealand and watch more videos, we have been watching a lot on New Zealand.
“It’d be a different kind of game with them their styles are a little bit different.
“So we’re looking forward to it and we’ll get to see some new faces with a few changes in the lineup for the next match.
“So excited to see how they fare.”
Nigeria will be looking for a hat-trick of wins come Tuesday against New Zealand.
