Western Conference Final: Jamal Murray shines as Nuggets protect homecourt against the Lakers
Jokic secures fourth straight triple-double game
Jamal Murray came to life in the fourth quarter for the Denver Nuggets as they claimed a 108-103 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final.
After a win in Game 1, the Nuggets were looking to do what no one has managed this postseason, beat the Lakers in two consecutive games. The Lakers showed why in the first half as they ended it with a five-point cushion 53-48. In the second half, however, the Nuggets raised their game and were able to secure the win at home to put them 2-0 up in the series.
Murray scored 23 points in the fourth quarter and 37 points overall. He also ten rebounds in the game. Michael Porter Jr scored 16 points for the Nuggets in the game as Nikola Jokic became the first man in NBA history to record four consecutive 20+point triple-doubles in the playoff. The Serbian finished with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists.
LeBron James had 22 points and ten assists for the Lakers, and Austin Reaves scored 22 points in the game. The series now returns to Los Angeles with the Nuggets two wins away from the NBA Finals.
