Cole Palmer made history in the Premier League by becoming the player with the most successful penalties without missing a single one. The young England midfielder scored twice to help Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday in London.
Palmer has now scored 12 out of 12 penalties in the Premier League, a perfect record that surpasses the previous record held by Yaya Touré, who scored all 11 of his penalties for Manchester City.
Palmer’s achievement shows his great skill and calmness under pressure, especially with his Panenka penalty style. Other players like Dimitar Berbatov and Ruben Neves also have perfect penalty records, but they took fewer penalties than Palmer and Touré.
