When Will Nigeria’s Super Eagles Face Russia in International Friendly?
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play against Russia in an international friendly match on Friday, 6th June 2025, SportsRation reports.
The match will take place at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, according to an announcement by the Russia Football Union (RFU) on Friday.
It will be the first-ever senior-level meeting between Nigeria and Russia. Russia last played at the Luzhniki Stadium in September 2021, during a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Croatia.
Before the clash with Russia, Nigeria will participate in the Unity Cup tournament in London in May. Eric Chelle’s team will face Ghana’s Black Stars in their opening game on Wednesday, 28th May. Reggae Boys of Jamaica and Soca Warriors of Trinidad and Tobago will also feature in the tournament.
Russia, on their part, will also take on Belarus in another friendly in Minsk on Tuesday, 10th June.
