Why Ademola Lookman is pushing ‘hard’ to join Inter Milan from Atalanta

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is reportedly ready to go to great lengths to convince Atalanta to approve his transfer to Inter Milan.
According to Fabrizio Romano via FCInterNews, negotiations between the two Serie A clubs have stalled due to a difference in their valuations of the player.
Atalanta are demanding €50 million for the Nigerian forward, while Inter Milan are only willing to pay up to €40m. Both clubs have made their positions clear, leaving the deal hanging in the balance.
Why Lookman Wants to Join Inter Milan
The 27-year-old is keen to continue his career at San Siro and could be the key to pushing the move through. Inter, on the other hand, are adopting a patient approach.
Lookman almost joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer, but Atalanta pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute. He remained at the Gewiss Stadium and endured a mixed 2024/25 season, which included a fallout with manager Gian Piero Gasperini.
Despite the issues, Lookman continued to deliver on the pitch. He now feels he has achieved all he can at Atalanta and believes it is time for a new challenge with Inter Milan.
