Why Arsenal are in the market for a new forward: Arteta shares reason
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that his team is in need of a new striker to boost their goal-scoring capabilities.
The club’s search for a reliable forward has grown urgent after Gabriel Jesus suffered a serious knee injury, leaving Arsenal short of attacking options as they aim to compete in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
Arteta shared his thoughts on the situation, saying: “My opinion is clear. We lost two very important players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. We lack goals, we lack people, and we lack options. It’s clear.”
He went on to confirm that the club is actively looking for the right player to help improve their attacking strength, adding, “If we can get the right player, that’s why we are actively looking at it. We are working on it, yes. Any player? No. Someone who makes us better. We need some help. Yeah, there is work going on now.”
With the January transfer window closing in less than a week, Arsenal face a race against time to secure their target.
