Why Jude Bellingham is not happy with Real Madrid after Ballon d’or decision

Real Madrid’s English midfielder, Jude Bellingham, is reportedly unhappy with his place at the club after recent signs of favoritism towards his teammate Vinicius Junior.

While Bellingham shone last season and was often seen as a star performer, the club’s recent Ballon d’Or support was focused on Vinicius, leaving Bellingham feeling overlooked.

After midfielder Rodri Hernandez won the Ballon d’Or, Real Madrid’s management expressed disappointment that Vinicius was not chosen, even suggesting that Dani Carvajal could have been a contender. Despite Bellingham ranking higher than Carvajal in the awards, he received little recognition from the club, leaving him to feel as if his strong contributions were undervalued.

Adding to his frustration, Bellingham’s role on the pitch has changed significantly since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe. Last season, Bellingham thrived in an attacking role, where his playmaking skills were key. But now, with Mbappe taking on the central attacking position and Vinicius staying on the left wing, Bellingham is often pushed to support the defence, limiting his impact in crucial offensive areas.

Bellingham’s new, more defensive position has not only minimized his influence but also seen his performance go largely unnoticed, with no goals yet this season. The shift has reportedly left him feeling sidelined in both the club’s tactical setup and its recognition of player contributions.
