Why Kano Pillars have extended Usman Abdallah’s suspension

Kano Pillars have extended the suspension of their technical adviser, Usman Abdallah, for one more match. The coach has now revealed reason for the decision.

Abdallah was originally suspended until after their Matchday 27 game against Rangers United. Now, he will return after their Matchday 28 game against Kwara United in Ilorin.

The club explained that the suspension is meant to help calm tensions among supporters.

Abdallah was suspended after a reported disagreement with some members of the Kano Pillars supporters’ club following a 1-1 draw at home against El-Kanemi Warriors on Matchday 21.

“I’ve been told that my suspension has been extended by one more game, which is this weekend’s away match against Kwara United,” Abdallah said to Complete Sports. “I was also informed that this decision is to help ease the tension among the supporters.”
