Wikki Tourists Declare Isa Aliyu Ndala AWOL After Trial Absence

Wikki Tourists FC have declared their player, Isa Aliyu Ndala, Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) after he failed to return to the club following an approved trial period.
In a statement issued by the club’s management, Wikki Tourists said the player was granted permission to attend professional trials between 10 February and 28 February 2026.
The club explained that the approval was given in good faith and in line with professional standards.
However, Ndala reportedly failed to return to the team after the agreed period and has not been reachable.
The club said: “Wikki Tourists Football Club wishes to formally inform its supporters, stakeholders and the general public that its player, Isa Aliyu Ndala, has been declared Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) following his failure to return to the club after an officially approved trial period.”
The statement added: “The club had earlier granted the player permission to attend professional trials between 10 February 2026 and 28 February 2026 in good faith and in line with established professional standards.”
Wikki Tourists also revealed that efforts to contact the player have not been successful since the trial period ended.
“Upon expiration of the approved period, the player failed to report back to camp and has remained unreachable despite several efforts made by the club to establish communication,” the statement said.
The Bauchi-based club described the situation as a violation of the responsibilities expected from its registered players.
“Wikki Tourists FC considers this action a breach of contractual and professional obligations expected of all registered players of the club,” the statement added.
The club further confirmed that it has reported the matter to the Nigeria Premier Football League and other relevant football authorities.
“Consequently, the management has formally notified the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and relevant football authorities regarding the player’s status in accordance with applicable regulations governing player conduct and contractual compliance.”
Wikki Tourists also stressed their commitment to discipline and professionalism.
“The club remains committed to professionalism, discipline and the protection of its institutional integrity while continuing preparations for ongoing football activities.”
The development comes just days after Katsina United issued a similar statement regarding their striker Uche Collins, the current NPFL top scorer, who is believed to be in talks with a club in Europe.
