Wikki Tourists, FC IfeanyiUbah crash out of CAF Confederations Cup

While Nigeria’s representatives at the CAF Champions league progressed to the round of 16, both representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup have both been knocked out.

FC IfeanyiUbah went into the 2nd leg with a slim 1-0 victory over Al Masry and at full time it was 1-1 on aggregate.

With the game to be decided in penalty shoot-out the Nnewi based club failed to convert any of their penalties and lost 3-0 in the shootout.

Wikki Tourists who are the other representative lost the first leg 2-0 in Sierra Leone to RSLAF, they went into the 2nd leg knowing they must score more than 2 goals to make it to the next round.

The Bauchi based club could only score a goal and that wasn’t good enough as they crashed out in round 32. They weren’t the only Nigerian team who crashed out as FC IfeanyiUbah also failed to make it to the next round.
