Wilfred Ndidi Could Be Out Until 2025 After Hamstring Injury

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is set to miss several weeks of action after suffering a hamstring injury during Leicester City’s 2-2 draw with Brighton on Sunday. The injury could keep him sidelined until January 2025.

Ndidi, who has been a key player for Leicester this season, featuring in all 15 Premier League matches and providing four assists, was forced to leave the pitch in the 54th minute of the game at King Power Stadium. At the time of his substitution, Leicester was trailing 1-0, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

According to Physio Scout, the 27-year-old midfielder sustained a hamstring injury, although the exact severity is still unclear. If it’s a Grade 1 hamstring injury, Ndidi could return in time for Leicester’s Boxing Day match against Liverpool. However, if it’s a Grade 2 injury, he may be out until January 2025.

This setback is a significant blow for Leicester City, who are currently battling to avoid relegation. Despite this, Ndidi has a relatively strong injury record, with no previous hamstring injury keeping him out for more than 31 days. Fans and coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy will be hoping for a speedy recovery as the team looks to navigate through this tough period without their key midfielder.
