Wilfred Ndidi wins award at Leicester City FC

Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has won the Leicester City FC September Goal of the Month award. SportsRation reports.

As announced by Leicester City FC on Thursday, October 19, 2023, Wilfred Ndidi will share the honour with teammate, Stephan Mavidi.

Both players polled 26% of the votes cast to be named joint winners of the Leicester City FC, September Goal of the month.

Both goals were scored vs Southampton in the English Championship, last month.

Ndidi scored with a brilliant strike against Southampton while Mavidi finished off an exceptional solo goal against the Saints to the delight of fans whose votes were collated to produce the winners.

The goal against Southampton exemplifies how comfortable Ndidi looks in his new attacking role as he kept his calm to dummy his marker before netting from close range.

Ndidi has scored one goal and assisted three more in just eight starts this season for Leicester City in the Championship. He also has two goals and an assist in the EFL Cup.

Earlier this week, the 26-year old was in action for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
