Winning the League with Enyimba Would Be a Great Achievement” – Brown Ideye Sets Ambitious Goal

Former West Bromwich Albion striker, Brown Ideye, has set ambitious goals for his new team, Enyimba International, in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), according to Soccernet.ng.

The 36-year-old Nigerian striker returned to Nigeria after playing for several European clubs, including Sochaux, Dynamo Kyiv, West Bromwich Albion, Malaga, Olympiacos, and Goztepe. After being without a club for two years, Ideye recently signed for Enyimba International.

Ideye has quickly set his sights on winning trophies with Enyimba. He explained, “At this moment, I am not thinking about accepting any invitations for CHAN (African Nations Championship). Right now, my focus is on Enyimba. If something else comes up later, we can think about it.”

He added, “If I can retire after winning the league with Enyimba, that would be a great achievement for me. As a football player, you want to win trophies and have good memories when you retire. So, if we win the cup, that would be my perfect send-off. It would be amazing.”

Since joining Enyimba, Ideye has scored two goals in his first three games. However, his team faces a tough challenge in the NPFL, as they are currently nine points behind league leaders, Remo Stars.
