Women’s UCL Quarter-Final Draws Released – Four mouth-watering clashes expected in March

The draw for the Women’s Champions League quarter-finals has been made, with exciting matchups set for March. Manchester City will play Chelsea, while Arsenal will face Real Madrid.

This means the two Women’s Super League (WSL) teams, Chelsea and Manchester City, will meet four times in just 12 days. The games will include a League Cup final on March 15, followed by a WSL league match on March 23. The Champions League quarter-final legs are set for March 18-19 and March 26-27.

Chelsea, unbeaten this season under their new manager Sonia Bompastor, have been in great form. They won all six of their group games to top the group, with Real Madrid finishing second. Chelsea currently lead the WSL with 37 points, while Manchester City are 12 points behind in fourth.

City have struggled with form this season, suffering four losses in their last eight matches, although they did beat Barcelona in their opening Champions League group game.

Arsenal, who had a tough start to the group stage with a 5-2 loss to Bayern Munich, have bounced back under new coach Renee Slegers and remain unbeaten in their last five Champions League games.

In other quarter-final ties, reigning champions Barcelona will face Wolfsburg, while Bayern Munich will play Lyon.

If Chelsea beat Manchester City and Barcelona overcome Wolfsburg, the two teams would meet in the semifinals for the third season in a row. The semifinals are set for April 19-20 and April 26-27, with the final scheduled for May 24 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Quarter-Final Draw:

  • Real Madrid vs. Arsenal
  • Manchester City vs. Chelsea
  • Wolfsburg vs. Barcelona
  • Bayern Munich vs. Lyon
