Yemi Olanrewaju happy as Enyimba FC secures win against Akwa United

Enyimba FC head coach Yemi Olanrewaju expressed his excitement after his team secured a hard-fought victory against Akwa United in a rescheduled NPFL matchday three clash.

Enyimba’s new signing, Austine Onyemaechi, scored the winning goal in the 76th minute, tapping in from Imo Obot’s corner kick to give the People’s Elephant a 1-0 win in Aba.

A delighted Olanrewaju acknowledged that the match was tough but emphasised that getting the three points was the most important thing. He said, “We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but the most important thing was getting the job done.”

Onyemaechi, who was thrilled to score on his debut for Enyimba, added, “Enyimba is my dream club, and I am happy to be here and score in my first game.”
