Yéremi Pino sends a strong warning to Samuel Chukwueze with historic super hat-trick

Yéremi Pino has sent a strong warning to Samuel Chukwueze after scoring remarkable four goals to help Villarreal beat Espanyol 5-1 at the Estadio de la Cerámica in La Liga game on Sunday.

The 19-year-old winger set different club and league records in the process as he powered Villarreal to their 6th game without defeat.

Pino scored his first goal in the 14th minute when he headed home a cross from Pervis Estupinan.

He completed his brace in the 20th minute when his right-footed shot went into the back of the net.

Pino was at the right place at the right time for the second goal as a corner kick that found Etienne Capoue in the box came to the Spanish winger who made no mistakes.

With the last kick of the first half, Yéremi Pino completed his hat-trick, a perfect hattrick for that matter has he scored the third with his left foot.

Yéremi Pino became the youngest-ever player to score a first-half La Liga hat-trick.

Arnaut Danjuma assisted the Spanish International as he completed his super hat-trick in the 53rd minute.

Yéremi Pino became the first Villarreal player ever to net a La Liga quadruple.

The 19-year-old was subbed out for Samuel Chukwueze to a standing ovation at the Estadio de la Cerámica.

Samuel Chukwueze as usual was lively and involved but without a goal or an assist as Villarreal ran out a 5-1 winner to usurp Barcelona in the top-five.

In fact, in Villarreal’s last five games since Samuel Chukwueze returned from the Africa Cup of Nations they have been substituted for each other.

Before Yeremi Pino’s super display today, Samuel Chukwueze has been the preferred over the Spaniard, but If Unai Emery follows the popular saying: “You are as good as your last performance,” then it would be Yéremi Pino over Samuel Chukwueze in their next games.

Samuel Chukwueze must work on this message, starting with one major part of his game that needs improvement which is – his decision in the final third.
