Young Nigerian striker Iheanacho joins Portuguese club

Stanley Iheanacho, a 19-year-old Nigerian striker, has signed a five-year contract with Portuguese second-tier club CD Mafra.

Previously at Danish club FC Midtjylland, he impressed in the youth team but did not play for the senior team.

Iheanacho is excited about joining CD Mafra, praising the club’s talented young players and looking forward to contributing to the team’s success.

He started his football journey at FC Hearts Academy before moving to FC Midtjylland, where he scored 19 goals in 30 matches for the youth team, including four goals in a league cup game.

CD Mafra hopes Iheanacho will become a key player and help the team achieve its goals in the Portuguese league.

He will join his new teammates for pre-season training as they prepare for their league opener against Paços Ferreira on August 8th.
