Zimbabwe President Promises $150,000 Bonus If Warriors Beat Nigeria

Zimbabwe’s President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, has promised the Warriors a $150,000 bonus if they defeat Nigeria in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The announcement was made by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) president, Nqobile Magwizi.

Zimbabwe’s national team, the Warriors, are hoping to qualify for the World Cup for the first time in history. However, they are currently bottom of Group C with just two points from four matches.

Michael Nees’ team will play against the Cheetahs of Benin Republic today (Thursday) at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Next Tuesday, Zimbabwe will travel to Uyo to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
