Zion Williamson makes history withh first career triple-double
Zion Williamson celebrated a big moment in his career by getting his first triple-double, scoring 27 points, getting 10 rebounds, and making 11 assists. This helped the New Orleans Pelicans win 124-116 against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night. It was the Pelicans’ third win in a row as they began a two-game series in Phoenix.
CJ McCollum played an important role, scoring 19 points, and helped the Pelicans match their longest winning streak of the season. The Pelicans had a tough start, falling behind by 18 points in the first half. However, after trailing 91-88 going into the final quarter, they fought back and took control of the game, with key plays from Williamson.
The win improved New Orleans’ away record to 5-24 this season, with every starter scoring in double digits. Trey Murphy III impressed with 18 points, including five three-pointers, while Yves Missi had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
On the other hand, the Suns are struggling, having lost seven of their last eight games. Devin Booker led the Suns with 36 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists, while Kevin Durant scored 28 points.
New Orleans started strong, scoring the first 13 points of the second quarter to take a 48-30 lead. However, the Suns fought back and were ahead 62-61 at halftime, partly thanks to Booker’s 17 points in the first half.
