Curry ties Korver’s record as Warriors beat Heat, LeBron stars for Cavs

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined to lift the Golden State Warriors past the Miami Heat 118-112 in the NBA on Wednesday.

Curry posted 42 points, including the go-ahead jump shot with 39 seconds remaining as the Warriors improved to 51-5 for the season.

The reigning NBA MVP also tied Kyle Korver’s record for consecutive regular-season games (127) with a three-pointer.

Klay Thompson contributed 33 points, 17 of those coming in the final quarter, as the Warriors overturned an early 12-point deficit to win a third-consecutive game.

The Heat were led by a season-high 32 points from Dwyane Wade.

LeBron James helped the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 114-103 win at home to the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets and their five-game winning streak came to an end as James and Kyrie Irving scored 23 points apiece.

Kemba Walker had 20 points for the Hornets.

The Toronto Raptors claimed a ninth-consecutive home win via a 114-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Pau Gasol registered a double-double as the Chicago Bulls downed the Washington Wizards 109-104 and the Detroit Pistons routed the Philadelphia 76ers 111-91.

Matt Barnes (25) and Mike Conley (24) combined for 49 points to see the Memphis Grizzlies to a 128-119 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the Indiana Pacers overcame the New York Knicks 108-105, the Oklahoma City Thunder trumped the Dallas Mavericks 116-103, the Los Angeles Clippers lost 87-81 to the Denver Nuggets, while the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Sacramento Kings 108-92.
