Frustrated James says Cavaliers teammates not ready for the playoffs
LeBron James says Cleveland Cavaliers are not ready for the playoffs after the NBA Eastern Conference Leaders were beaten 106-103 by Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
The Cavs slipped to 44-18 following the narrow loss at the Quicken Loans Arena, the hosts hindered by committing a season-high 25 turnovers.
Following the setback, a frustrated James was typically honest in his assessment of Cleveland’s performance.
“I can sit up here and say that we’re a team that’s ready to start the playoffs tomorrow, but we’re not,” James told EPSN.com
“We’re still learning. We still have things that happen on the court that just shouldn’t happen.
“I don’t care who you’re playing, it could be my son’s Little League team – you’re going to lose when you give up that many turnovers just from carelessness.”
Team-mate Kevin Love added: “We just could have done a better job of respecting the game. That was a real bad loss for us.
“The turnovers were terrible.”
