Kano Pillars 5- Abia Warriors 0: Rabiu Ali’s brace ensure routine win for Baba Ganaru’s boys

Rabiu Ali’s brace helped Kano Pillars put away their winless record to trash Abia Warriors 5-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday to continue their impressive run against Abia Warriors.

Pillars started the encounter on a positive note putting everything into the game and their attacking football paid off in the 9th minutes when Abia defender handled the ball in the box prompting the referee to award a penalty to Pillars and Rabiu Ali made no mistakes from the spot.

Abia Warriors in search of an equalizer pushed forward in numbers with Sakin and Nicholas James playing chief orchestra of their moves, but it was Pillars who got their second on the night as Rasaq Adegbite’s 44th minutes strike made it 2-nil.

Barely a minute after Pillars second goal, Bala Zakka scored the third for Pillars before half time. At the start of second half Prince Aggreh could have made it four for Pillars but Abia Warriors keeper Anozie denied him in a one on one position.

Gambo Mohammed who came in for Prince Aggreh in the 68th minutes provided the assist for Rabiu Ali’s 82nd minutes strike, his second and Pillars’ fourth on the night.

When it looked like it was going to end four nil for Mohammed Baba Ganaru’s boys, Nafiu Kabuga blinder made it five for Pillars.

Kano Pillars continued their impressive run against Abia Warriors, the victory means Kano Pillars are yet to lose or concede against Abia Warriors in the NPFL.
