FC IfeanyiUbah late rally deny Shooting Stars in Ibadan

FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s late rally denied Shooting Stars valuable three points in Ibadan. FC IFeanyi Ubah listed former Shooting Stars players Tope Orelope and Wasiu Jimoh in their starting line up on the night.

Ebitimi Agogu’s goal was the highlight of the first half as both teams played with caution for the first 45 minutes at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Afolabi doubled Shooting Stars lead in the 75th minutes and when it looked like it was going to be the maximum points in the bag for Ogunbote boys, Ifenayi Ubah scored two goals in the space of 2 minutes to spoil the Oluyole Warriors’ party.

An infringement in the Shooting Stars box gifted Ifeanyi Ubah a chance to score from the spot kick to reduce the deficit and Medrano made no mistakes from the box to start the comeback, just a minute after the goal Onyebuchi Ajunwa completed the comeback with a great finish.

Shooting Stars who had their super fans Olubadan of Ibadan and his wife among the fans in the stand pushed men forward in search of the winning goal but the goal never came as Ifeanyi Ubah boys did everything to deny them.

In the 85th minutes Ifeanyi Ubah’s captain Elu Wilson was sent off for a second bookable offence, even with the numerical advantage and home support, FC Ifeanyi Ubah endured to secure a point from a losing position.

It was the first time they’ll get atleast a point from a losing position.
