Ahmed Musa “getting used to life” at Leicester City after £16.5m record move
Ahmed Musa has admitted that the intensity of pre-season training at Leicester City caught him by surprise, but says he is slowly “getting used to life” with his new side.
The 23-year-old completed a club-record £16.5m switch to the Foxes last week, bringing an end to his four-year spell with Russian giants CSKA Moscow.
Musa is now adapting to his new surroundings and claims that the fast-tempo nature of training sessions could be the secret behind the Foxes’ shock title success last season.
“When I started my first session I was thinking, ‘wow’!”. I have never seen that in Russia – but now I am getting used to it,” he is quoted as saying by the Daily Express. “The intensity here is quite different to Russia.
“Here it is a little bit harder; in Russia they are more laid back. That is the most difficult thing but that is the secret behind Leicester’s success.
Musa, who is Leicester’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ron-Robert Zieler, Luis Hernandez and Nampalys Mendy, scored 13 goals in 30 Russian Premier League games last season.
