2022 Conference semifinals: Celtics roar back to level series
Grizzlies dispatch Warriors to level series at 1-1
After losing Game 1 of their 2022 Conference semifinals, the Boston Celtics showed a lot more desire and fight to run away with a 109-86 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 2 of the series.
Despite being without newly-crowned Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka managed to formulate the perfect tactical plan to keep the Bucks’ big men from getting to the rim, also limiting their use of transitions throughout the game. The Celtics held the lead throughout the game without relinquishing it once.
Jaylen Brown scored 30 points for the Celtics in the game, with Jayson Tatum adding 29 points of his own. Grant Williams was important at both ends of the court for the Celtics as he scored 21 points and held his own against Giannis Antetokounmpo in the game. Giannis scored 28 points for the Bucks in the game.
Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Golden State Warriors 106-101 at the FedEx Forum Arena in Game 2 of the 2022 Conference semifinals to level the series at 1-1.
After impressing but failing to win in Game 1, Ja Morant took his game to a higher level, leading all scorers in the game with 47 points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Grizzlies. Ziaire Williams scored 14 points and Jaren Jackson Jr scored 12 points.
